Gorgeous New York Leaves
Colin and Ronnie returned Wednesday from their week and a half long trip to see her family in North Carolina and New York state.
They brought us back a big ziploc of THE most brilliant, breathtakingly beautiful leaves that they gathered.
Their trip included going to Ronnie's hometown, which is in the Adirondack area of New York and a trip over to Vermont for apple picking and sightseeing. They had a great time.
I just wanted to share the leaves with those of you who, like myself, don't see the trees actually turn colors. Here --- they just get cold one night and turn loose.

Years ago, Todd had a meeting in Rhode Island about mid Sept. . the leaves were just starting to turn. . so I made him stop the rent car and let me get out to pick a bright red leaf. . I had never seen a BRIGHT red leaf before and I brought it home to show the kids. .we hicks don't get to see leaves like the above very often. . if ever. . you brought back memories today. . Oh well, West Texas has other virtues. . rows and rows of cotton, gorgeous sunsets and great winters:). . .thanks for sharing the photos!
